Hey y'all... just thought I'd check in... been really busy since I got home from my trip... finally got around to calling my dad last night, he said he wondered when he was gonna hear from me, I'd been home for a week lol
Kinda tryin to take it easy too... my back got worse about halfway through my trip, I think from sleeping on my sister's futon for a couple of nights... then in the last couple of days my carpal tunnel and arthritis started acting up again, had to pull out my old brace and put it on last night... had carpal tunnel surgery 5 years ago, the dr said it would come back, and yep, it did... But I'd do the surgery again if I had to, it gave me relief for 5 years at least. Seeing this good dr on the 22nd, he's a pain management doctor, hopefully he can do something for the arthritis and carpal tunnel too... he's got my bf on chicken callogen, but bf said I need to find out what kind of arthritis I have, because it only works for one kind of arthritis. Told my bf I'm getting old... he jokingly agreed, so I told him that means he must be ancient lol he turned 61 today. He says he's gonna trade me in on a 19 year old soon lol
Anyway, I'm doing good lately... trying to leave things in God's hands now... and things work out much better when I do that... things with my bf have worked out once I stopped trying to control it... We're in the middle of a business deal right now, and I'm praying about it, if it's meant to be, God will take care of it... Starting on Step 4 soon... been procrastinating a bit, who doesn't with this step? lol
Anyway... need to get off here... hope everyone is having a great day!
Hey Lisa, glad you're back! Yeah, I did note that subtle shift from roomie to bf, LOL. Glad things are working out so well, but so sorry about your back giving you grief again. Have they decided what they can do about it yet? Hug all those critters for me, and a hug to you, too. Chris

It's good to hear from you again. I do hope that the problems you are having with your back can be sorted out for you. As to your step 4, you'll feel great when you have done it and the sense of freedom is amazing.
Take care,
Carol

Hi Lisa, Hope your back's condition has improved by now. Glad you're doing good and feeling good about your relationship with God. I'm going to try to be around more often again and I hope to see you (in the form of a post ;) again real soon. Take care, Laura
My back's still givin me problems, but seems to be easing up the slightest bit if I take it kinda easy... I get some stuff done, then sit or lie down awhile, then I'm able to do a bit more. Not letting myself fall into that pity party I was in before with it. The carpal tunnel and arthritis is killing me though... wearing a brace most the time now. It's odd how sudden it came on like that... no numbness with the carpal tunnel like before, just lots of pain in my shoulder, wrist, and right under my thumb. So... bf is spoiling me lately with backrubs and rubbing my hands and wrists
The babies are doing great... of the 2 hurt turkeys, one is all healed up, the other probably won't heal, but we're hoping she'll heal enough that she'll be able to get around, maybe if we keep her in a pen or something, I dunno. Booger, the one that healed up, is my favorite, he follows me around everywhere lol I've got some new pics... none of the chicks though, still need to get those on my computer... along with the ones of Booger and Jewel, they're still in the house, but I took some pics of them today out in the front yard
You can see 2 of the turkeys and one guinea outside the cages, those still in the cage are my other 2 guineas...
The chickens checking out the babies...
2 of my turkeys
Our little chicks outside...
Here's those same chicks... coming in the house to peck at the mess my babies left on the floor lol And my guineas in their cage, this was before I got them out in the barn
Jimmy the Guinea and our cat Bobbie
And these little lambs were born the day I got home from my trip!
Our pregnant cat Sissy... due pretty soon! ...like we need more babies around here lol
Alright, guess that's enough showing off my babies... lol
