After over 8 years sobriety, I let my meetings slide. I picked up a drink and 2 months later I was drink driving continually, lieing about money and my drinking and my driving and hit my rock bottom on Friday morning at 5am when I finally came out of a blackout on my way home from Sydney's Red Light District, Kings Cross (and yes, I'm a woman!!). NOT GOOD.
Thank God I made it here and back to my old home meeting here in Sydney, Australia. Thank God I have held on by my fingernails and am 4 days sober again. I went to a meeting last night, today lunchtime and will go again tomorrow lunch time (God Willing).
Thank you to all who responded to my original post.
Day by day I get the tiniest bit stronger.
Jenni

Welcome back! I threw 4 years out the window, and had to hit another bottom myself!
I'd say your higher power was definitely watching over you. God bless, and keep sharing with us!

Reading your post brought back many ( dis-jointed ) memories for me. I lived in Sydney for a while and could often be found in or around sweethearts cafe between 3 and 6 am I lived in a squat around Darlinghurst. Got a pretty clear view of your bottom ( rock bottom) but thats history and today is today. Wishing you well.
