Hello, Its been a long time since I"ve posted. It's been a long time since I"ve been sober.I've been sober for 2 weeks now. My doctor said she wouldn't treat me anymore unless I went into outpatient treatment. I was really offended at first. It didn't take me long to realize she did me a big favor. I had been investigating for some time where I could attend an AA meeting, just couldn't get up the nerve to go to a meeting. Spent some time floating in and out of this site, just to see what folks were up to. I can still reconize some of you, it's nice to see you are still here. I'm gonna close for now and check out whats been happening here. Take Care Nancy Jo

Well done on two weeks sober! It isn't always easy, but it's a lot easier than carrying on drinking ourselves to death.
I do hope that you will be going to an AA meeting soon. I couldn't keep my sobriety without my meetings. They really are a wonderful life-line to me. I now have a wide circle of true friends and life is getting better for me.
I also pop on here several times every day. It really does enhance and add a quality to my sobriety. I do hope that you'll keep posting and letting us know how things are going for you. We've all been there and we are all here for you now.
Take good care of yourself,
Carol

Welcome back Nancyjo! Tim, alcoholic. I'm relatively new here and sober 8 months as of Easter Sunday. I hope you stay around and can use this site and these fabulous recovering people as the saving grace for you that it's been for me. Good fortune...Tim

Two weeks is an accomplishment! Keep going.......... you're heading in the right direction.
Tim, For many Christians, Christ entered into a new life on Easter. What a way to celebrate that day by celebrating your "new life" in sobriety. Congrats. on 8 mos. ...... Wanda
Glad your here Nancy Jo. Congrats on two weeks, and may many more follow. Hope you get to a meeting real soon, too. BTW, my sobriety started the day after Easter, 2005. I like to call it my "resurection day"...
