When i got sober I was advised to take up a musical instrument as its good for your self esteem. Now I play piano I wondered if there are others out there like me. I thought it would be nice to join a community.

Hi Robert,

Learning to play piano is a beautiful skill. Well done to you. My grandmother used to be a music teacher and started to teach me to play piano. But, I haven't played in nearly thirty years, which is a shame.

Well done on learning to play. I admire you.

Used to play piano like Jerry Lee Lewis.....when I was drinking....thought it sounded pretty good....but for some reason...

Every time I went to a party...they hid the piano...

Have a key board that I still bang away on...when noones around...

You wanna form a band with Dan?

We could play in Old Folks Homes and they would pay us big bucks to leave..:)

Robert, I really like this idea. Now that I'm not drinking I'm painting a lot more . . . and I'm improving. I don't think it's the same thing, 'though. I wish I could afford a wind instrument . . . I've always had a secret desire to learn how to play the flute!
I, too, admire you for daring to learn something new! This is inspiring.

I learned to play the guitar after my first 5th step...

Now I write songs and perform them
