I saw "What we do is Secret" the story of the seminal punk band the Germs. Now THAT is a useful movie.

Honestly I couldn't even find "The Secret" on IMDB. I did find the "Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles- The Secret of the Ooze" however- but somehow I dont think that's what you were referring to.

But I tried!

Last night I watched "Chopper" the highly glorified story  of Mark Brandon "Chopper" Read, notorious Australian criminal with an overdose of personality. Highly informative and I'm trying to figure a way I can incorporate that into my sobriety.

Hi Jen, no I havent but I sure heard about it on the womens spirituality lists I'm on after the author appeared on Oprah. I'd like to find out more, but I'm not sure if this isn't alot along the lines of "What the Bleep do we know?". I'm reading about it right now on another site, here's the link.

Hey Jen, from a guy's point of view, I'd have to say it sounds like a bunch of crap! How can a woman actually achieve anything on her own?..... NO, NO, NO...Just kidding!!! You know me better than that. From reading the link that Wren posted it sounds REALLY interesting. This is the first I'v ever heard of it, but it sounds kind of like a lot I've known intuitively for a long time. I'm waiting for some more info to be posted. Thanks both Jen and Wren...Tim

P.S.  O.K. Michelle and I read the whole 16 pages on the web site given by Wren. We went to order it used at $15.06. Clikck! Sold already. Another used at $19. Click! Sold already. So we bought a NEW one for $27. Are all you alkies out here buying them?...Tim

Tim I watched a trailer of the movie on thesecret.tv   Didn't tell me much, 'cept it sorta looked like something from archeology today. And hey! It's only $30 for the video to find out the secret! Now, if I really had the love of humanity in mind, I wouldn't be charging anything except the cost of a copy disc, myself, But then again, maybe that's the secret!

That's what I paid with the intention of making a copy or 2 to give to friends or whoever wanted to see it -  guess what? It won't copy! ...... I wouldn't be charing anything either as you stated ........one of the 'teachers' in the DVD was on Larry King Live the other night, it has been suggested by the NY Times that "it" could be psychologically damaging! I ask myself (and you all) How could positive thinking and practicing in the Law of Attraction be harmful?

I found some of it to be common sense, some of it to be a bit hokey, and a lot of it to be empowering. "Engery follows thought" - Christine Northrup MD.
