thanks for reminding me of one of the things i hated most when i was drinking...i am so grateful for my sobriety today....its stuff like that gave me the motivation to go to meetings, and change my life.
And weve all been there, in one form or another....
Every time that I drank...bad things did not happen...
But...
Every time bad things happenned...I had been drinking..
In AA we work the never drink again thing...One day at a time...
Just for today..I will not pick up a drink....It makes things a lot easier
We attend AA meetings on a regular basis....and meet others that we can identify with..and understand...and its all a WE THING......so we dont hafta feel alone...
Join us.....and have the best day you can hu...

I do hope that you will stay and keep on posting. Please let us know how things are going for you, won't you?
Take care,

Welcome, Angel. Be kind to yourself right now--Phil said it all when he said things happen when we're drinking that are beyond our control (paraphrase there, Phil). We do give up so much control when we are drinking, and the main thing here is to reclaim it and do what needs to be done so that it is never taken away from us again. We are all here to love eachother until we can love ourselves again, and I can promise you, that will happen. There is alot of strength and compassion on this board and in the meetings, Angel. Many many of us have been in similar situations, and it is in that process that we begin to get well again, once we reach out. I have sent you a private message with my number. Please come back and know that we are here for you, be blessed, Chris

HI Angel, It does not matter what happened int the past .....even if it is a second ago....... We can all take the step to start over and begin anew.......Sometimes we "skin our knees". Take courage that whatever you did, it is now done, did, over. You can start the next second in a much different direction. You took a step toward it by just coming here. Hope you keep coming.
Hi Angel, Welcome. I didn't get to read your post before you edited it, but I sense a feeling of loss. I do hope that you will return and post and talk with us. Take care, Laura
