I explained it once in private mtm....

Now....Im going to do it on the board....and if anyone disagrees with it...they will let me know...

If you want to criticize and judge AA....and surround our, sharing "experience strength and hope" with those that are reaching out for help.....I for one..will not tolerate it...

Youve been sober 15 years?

Then instead of trying to bring the negative to this board?

Bring some positive...

Your last 2 posts were deleted by me....
----------------------------

You are quite welcome here.....as anyone is...

However...as a monitor...I WILL delete anything....that has to do with criticizing...judging....or putting AA and this 12 step program down..in any way...

And there is no debate....Thats the way it is.....Philip D...

Looks like I missed everything. Again. I need to be on East Coast time. But, to mtm: I support Phil in this. Please do respect the people we have coming in. It could mean a life. We are here as a support group, and AA is how three million of us have come to sobriety. If AA is not for you, there are other groups out there. Please do not bash us on a public forum that has helped so many, including myself, in their sobriety. Write me off forum if you need to vent on your  cult issues. This is a spiritual program, and we share our ESH. You are welcome to do the same, we are always here for the alcoholic who still suffers. Wren (aka babydoll, eh Phil?), LOL.

Yep. Phil old buddy, we are shoulder to shoulder on this.  Glad you caught it.

This board is here to offer help for those who want/need it.  If someone doesn't like us trying to help another drunk stay sober, they can head right on down the road to whatever other meeting house they feel happy in.  AA isn't forcing anyone to accept the program if they don't want it.  As the very old saying in the program goes, "you can take it or leave it"  (with heavy emphasis on the "leave it" alone if you don't want to be part of it).

My uncle has been a DRY DRUNK for 25 years.  He is miserable, does not believe prayer is good and does not believe.  He never sought AA.  He stopped drinking and still hung out in his bar drinking coffee and doing the same things he did as a drunk, save the drinking.

He is the most miserable, depressed, isolated, resentlful self pitying person I know.  All he talks about is the past and how he's been harmed by hix Ex and Mother.  Thesrefore his is NOT sober.

THANK GOD FOR AA!!  Those are my genes he has, and that could be me if I don't work any of the 12 steps.
