Resentment is the "number one" offender. It destroys more alcoholics than anything else. From it stem all forms of spiritual disease, for we have been not only mentally and physically ill, we have been spiritually sick. When the spiritual malady is overcome, we straighten out mentally and physically. i got one trying to deal with now, i guess back to work!! Wagon
Its true its all in the BB of this program. I met a woman at a BB study meeting that I am working on getting going again. And, of course I think I know it all. So, why did I have to read the BB. I turned to pg 417 on acceptance and started to talking. Boy, did she put me in my place. She said I had to go back and read the first page to 164. And, then my BB study meeting would happen. Okay, yesterday I started my reading I found myself reading 3 chapter not wanting to put the book down. Knowing , that I was running late for a women's meeting I attend on Sundays.
Now, here is the God Shot. Of course they ask if there is any AA announcements. I raised my hand. And, announced the information for the Saturday meeting also asking for women to take commitments at the meeting. Do, you know I had someone take a commitment. And, the sec'y of the meeting I was at said; that the BB study meeting is meant to be my meeting. What a blessing when you just take some advise and listen to someone else in this program.
I am so thankful that I met this woman. She did not just change my attitude towards the BB, but she added something great to my life. God Bless you all.
