Daily Reflections ~ It Works! (Preview) It works it really does. ALCOHOLICS ANONYMOUS, p. 88 When I got sober I initially had faith only in the program of Alcoholics Anonymous. Desperation and fear kept me sober (and maybe a caring and/or tough sponsor helped!). Faith in a Higher Power came much later. This faith came slowly at first, after... 24 Hrs a Day ~ 1st March 09 (Preview) A.A. Thought for the Day When I find myself thinking about taking a drink, I say to myself: "Don't reach out and take that problem back. You've given it to God and there's nothing you can do about it." So I forget about the drink. One of the most important parts of the A.A. program is to give our d... Brain Power Alone? (Preview) As Bill Sees ItPg. 60 Brain Power Alone? To the intellectually self-sufficient man or woman, many A.A.'s can say, "Yes, we were like you -- far too smart for our own good. We loved to have people call us precocious. Resentments (Preview) AA Thought for the Day (courtesy AAOnline.net) February 28, 2009ResentmentsWe need to take resentments very seriously. Conviction and Compromise (Preview) As Bill Sees ItPg. 59 Conviction and Compromise One qualification for a useful life is give-and-take, the ability to compromise cheerfully. Letting Go of Denial (Preview) We are slow to believe that which, if believed, would hurt our feelings. -- Ovid Most of us in recovery have engaged in denial from time to time. So scary.	cramcj01	11	641	Feb 27, 2009 by JrG

Daily Reflections ~ No Ordinary Success Story (Preview) A.A. is no success story in the ordinary sense of the word. It is a story of suffering transmuted, under grace, into spiritual progress.
