Pride (Preview) Home is my favorite hippie mint and rosemary soap washing off a day of trouble. It's two children pushing two lovers to opposite sides of sleepy oblivion at 3 a.m. only to rustle us awake in a few short hours. I watch as they bend heads together like flowers drooping in the autumn sun, finding it - their d...	justadrunk	5	548	Nov 12, 2012 by Rob84

Lost time (Preview) The longer I'm sober, the more it becomes apparent to me that my entire 20s and half of my 30s were a hazy mess of dysfunction and alcholism. I do not regret the past, because it took what it took for me to get to where I am today, but I can't help but shake my head at how I spent such a long time half dead. Wow. ...	pinkchip	20	807	Nov 11, 2012 by Cindyloo

The taste of alcohol (Preview) This came up in another post here and also in a conversation with my sponsor. I never drank for the taste...	pinkchip	10	646	Nov 11, 2012 by bikerbill

Comfort in not getting my way (Preview) When ever I don't get my way, or I get something that I don't want, or I don't get something I want.....I am grateful today that I can find comfort in the knowledge that maybe if I'm not getting my way, then maybe God is getting His way. I had some serious thoughts about drinking. (Preview) Jumping up and down screaming "don't drink, don't drink!" to my group, and worrying about how I sound, more than what's really going on inside me... focusing so very much on the message, and if it's being delivered "right" as I am saying to them "who you are is good enough - w...	justadrunk	19	634	Nov 10, 2012 by Mr_David
Today's Gift 11-10 (Preview) Accepting the past Noted psychiatrist Carl Jung once said, "If one can accept one's sin, one can live with it. If one cannot accept it, one has to suffer the inevitable consequences." We must come to accept our past acts before they will stop causing us pain. All the Steps help us do this, but...
