alcohol hangover vs drug hangover (Preview) Sorry to annoy you all with this again. I' m just trying to wrap my head around it. Someone said to me they would rather work with someone the next day whose had 2-3 stubbies (beer to relax and be able to sleep) then with someone whose had a drug of some kind. Is there any real difference in the effects th...	Tracey C	4	713	Feb 27, 2013 by Tracey C
Lady Eli asked about Faith ... (Constant Faith) (Preview) I had to write this 'off-line' to insure continuity ... ... ... and many of my opinions and beliefs are similar to that of the author William P. Young ... (from whom I took the liberty to copy certain examples and phrases ...) Faith, is yours real or true? To make matters even more convoluted, somethin...	Pythonpappy	4	490	Feb 27, 2013 by Pythonpappy

Today's Gift 02-26 (Preview) There is no shortcut to life. To the end of our days, life is a lesson imperfectly learned. --Harrison E. SalisburyThere are no perfect days. What is spirituality like? (Preview) I'd like to read some comments on any spiritual feelings, visions, etc. I've heard many different stories of dreams, visions, voices from beyond, and so on at A.A.meetings. I've never had anything as such, but I'd like to read what others have to say. What did you see or hear? What did it feel like? Or an...	AlcoHater	17	837	Feb 27, 2013 by Pythonpappy

Staying where my feet are (Preview) Dont make any big changes during the first year of sobriety. I've heard this advice many times. Now that I'm figuring out how to live life on a daily basis I'm thinking I can start thinking about the future. I have lots of ideas- some realistic, some rather far fetched. I've always wanted to work in the fi...	Col	11	774	Feb 26, 2013 by Frodo
Another Great Sober Day and I passed the Human Test (Preview) So, yesterday begins with my daughters father texting me, "Did you get that stuff for the baby or are you going to put her in something else?" He is referring to new shoes and a white diaper cover. She has white shoes. They're just not new and the ones I bought are one size too big. She is g...	SolanoGypsy	4	521	Feb 26, 2013 by Frodo
Thank you! (Preview) Today marks 90 days for me. Thank you to all of you. These boards have been instrumental in my sobriety. I have found here eloquent words, telling it like it is, encouragement, support, tough love, humour, and incredible generosity of spirit. Thank you! Big hugs all around. I intend to keep coming bac...	RubyTues	18	535	Feb 26, 2013 by Frodo
Grapevine (Preview) February 26 "Long before I was a binge drinker, I was a binge thinker. I tended to think incessantly, as if this were an essential part of staying alive. My mind either had no 'off' switch, or, if it did, I had no idea where it was.&...	Mike B.	1	298	Feb 26, 2013 by Pythonpappy
