AA Meetings in Cairo and Luxor, Egypt?

Hi All,

In a few weeks, I will be in Cairo on a Thursday, Friday, Saturday, and Sunday, staying in the Garden City area, just south of Midan Tahrir. I have found information about the meeting in Zamalek on Friday at 2PM and I have found information about the Thursday meeting in the south of Cairo at Kasr-el-Maadi hospital near the Maadi Metro station.

Are there any other meetings in Cairo on Thursday, Friday, Saturday or Sunday?

Also, I will be in Luxor on a Monday and a Tuesday. I have not yet found any information about any meetings in Luxor. Does anyone know about any meetings in Luxor?

Thanks,

Dave

Well, I hope you find your meetings. But be careful out there, Dave12.

Hey you know I would if I could. I bet you'd be a great travel companion, Pappy! I'll be sure to post some photos here after the trip. But yeah, if you're getting a little cabin fever-y these days, by all means get out and take a trip some place if you're feeling up to it. It doesn't have to be super expensive and far away, just a nice change of scenery can do wonders.

So tomorrow is the day - flying to Egypt, lots of cool stuff planned for the trip. The first thing on my itinerary is an English speaking AA meeting at 2 PM on the first full day after I arrive in Cairo. It's about a mile or two from where I'll be staying and I plan to just take some time leisurely walking there and sightseeing along the way. I don't have much info about other meetings or AA contacts in the places I'll be for the rest of the trip after that, but I'll ask about this while I'm at the first meeting and they may have some info about that.

I'll be away from the computer for the duration so I'll check back in here after I get back, in about three weeks.

See ya!

Dave

Have a good time there Brother, ... and for God's sake keep your eye peeled for anything that doesn't look or feel right ... I don't want to hear about you in the NEWS ... You'll also be in my prayers for a safe, enjoyable trip ... ... ...

Love ya man and God Bless,
Pappy

Hi folks,

I just got back from Egypt yesterday. The trip was great, and the Cairo AA meeting was really good! Always great to find AA when I'm traveling far from home. I took about 600 pictures during the trip which are all still in the camera so it will take some time, but I'll post a few of them here soon.
