Amazing!  A good word for you because they way you reach out here consistently to others and keep giving back is amazing.  Even in spite of health issues....I bet you don't even realize how many folks you have helped.  You have also been the "rock" of this board for at least the last year.  Go PAPPY!!!!

Happy Anniversary!

Thanks to everyone here ... I didn't do anything, it was my home group, you guys, my sponsor, and the good Lord that saw fit to guide me ... fortunately I chose not to remain 'pig-headed' about being able to beat this disease by myself ... even then, it took me a long time to figure that out ...

You guys are the best,
Love you all and God Bless you all,
Pappy

P.S. Sorry for not posting the past few days ... medical issues only ... NO bottle banging ... LOL

Hey Mr. Pickle, ... in '08, while in rehab, in Atlanta, I met the Wrestler with 'Jake the Snake', got his autograph, but couldn't remember his name, Damien ???, I'll have to go see if I can find the 'auto' ... ... ... He had a year or two dry at the time, I think ... ruff voice but gentle as a Lamb (he wouldn't like me saying that, LOL) ... great guy ... BIG man ... Oddly though, I used to have a 12' Burmese Python that I named 'Jake' ... and it was named after his snake, LOL ...

Coincidence ????????

Damien? ... His story was very familiar, rise to fame, lots of parties, booze 'n drugs were abundant ... he got caught up in having everything he could possible want and had the money to do the heavy drugs ... It Got Him ... but he seemed to have a very strong conviction to his sobriety, he came across as a 'really great guy' ... I pray he's still living in recovery ...

Just so you know, that is an Anaconda in the 'toy' above, not a Python ... I had an Anaconda once, never again ... they are one of the most aggressive snakes around, not docile like the Burmese, and much more aggressive than the Reticulated Python ... (my Anaconda was 8' long at six months old ... I quickly learned they can easily kill you ... strongest snake in the world, without a doubt) ...

I know, more than you wanted to know, LOL ...

Love you guys, God Bless ...

Oh, the toy DOES look like him,  LOL ...

Congrats, Roger. I can't believe its been 7 years already. Wow, how time flies.

Back in 2008, I was celebrating my 7th year in sobriety, strangely enough.

I guess it was meant to be. I hope that trend continues. Onward.
