Love it!  I was a barker when I first arrived.  Not out loud because I was too afraid.  But, boy did I bark instead.  Especially when someone who was HAPPY came up to me and offered me a HELLO.  Internally, I would bark f*ck you!  Don't know what you're so happy about!  furious  Then the lovely quote; keep coming back!  bleh

I'm glad I don't bark any longer at meetings.  smile  I go to meetings today because I enjoy them and they have a way of keeping centered in the solution.  What a gift and change in my attitude.  Happened beyond my human devices.  wink

Mike B and I use to go to meetings at the same kennel.   LOL  I use to do...get the "f" out of my face and at the meetings after the meetings when alkies use to sit at my table uninvited I would use sinister threats to their safety to get them to leave.   Sick Sick Sick Afraid!  "If you keep an open mind ... you will find help" is what help for a long time and they also use to tell me "Keep coming back" after telling me if I couldn't behave in a respectful way I had to leave the meeting.   LOL  Finally got it after getting a Higher Power and Sponsor.   smile

In Australia , a lot of meetings are conducted like -

A chairperson sitting at a table in front of th room ,

beside the table , is a chair either side of the table .

The people at the meeting sit in rows of chairs . The chairperson

calls a person . They walk up to the front , stand behind one of these

"security chairs" & share .

You blokes just reminded me  , when I got here . A  BIG Biker  named Fred

told me he was like that , walk up th front , abuse & cuss everybody & say

"any of you *#nts &8#king clap me I will $#*king knock your heads off "

everybody used to clap anyway . This particular night , Fred was asked to share 1st .

Fred walks up , starts his usual abuse & cussing  BUT instead of sitting down after a minute or 2 .

Fred suddenly starts talking civilised & sharing decently AND Stood there behind th "security chair"

for the whole 90 minutes of the meeting . After the meeting , the chairman Mick , asked Fred about

the sudden change . Fred said "as I was about to get ready to go & sit down , I got an erection & I

had to stay there . I could not walk back to my seat with it "   True Story

Yes Kevin . I thought so too .

Especially hearing it from Fred himelf .

Mate , he was 6'4" & as ruff & tuff as Bikers come

He reckoned his HP had a "comical" way of making him humble .

Yep , HP's can have a sense of humour too .

Changed th bloke completely though .
